I’m a fourth-year PhD student and a systems neuroscientist. My main interest lies in using diffusion MRI to investigate the microstructural correlates of white matter pathology across diseases, with the goal of biophysically informed and clinically useful characterisation of WM changes. Other areas of interest are dMRI modeling and analysis, open science and reproducibility, as well as teaching (currently Medical Physics for undergraduates). I’m a member of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and the International Society for Tractography. Outside of the lab you can find me rowing, coxing or running (at most two out of the three at the same time).

I’ve started conducting a systematic review and am currently looking for collaborators who are interested in working on it (screening abstracts, extracting data, writing the synthesis). You can read more details in the PROSPERO preregistration here, or in the protocol that is available as a preprint.

The review aims to collate research on multi-shell diffusion MRI in white matter in neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases. We have excluded studies using DTI, regions other than the white matter, and machine learning algorithms that use diffusion MRI metrics as input without directly reporting them.

If you are interested in hearing more, let me know! There is a large amount of studies to screen (ca. 4,000), but I can say from experience that it doesn’t take as long as one might suspect…
